Hi all,
I would like to allow our users to enter in pseudo-code for our
report writer, and would like to use the same control that Jade uses
in the development environment. In particular I would like it to
handle syntax colouring (i.e. reserved words are blue, classes are
green etc.)
Is anyone aware of how to achieve that? Is the Jade edit control an
OCX that can be imported or do I pass the handle of a picture control
to a .dll (jadedit.dll?) or something?
I can acheive the same result by painting my own words onto a
picture control in the appropriate colours, and that would be easy to
do if the control were not editable. Allowing the user to type into
the control is more tricky though (I would have to allow for word wrapping, keep track of the curson position etc, allow for mouse selections etc.)
Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks,
Allistar. ------------------------------------------------------------------
