Erewhon problem

Postby Bill Gibson » Mon May 13, 2013 9:12 pm

Sorry if this is an old problem but I searched the boards and could not find an answer.

When I connect to the erewhon application through Internet Explorer it tries to download the JadeEval file I have looked over the instructions again and for the life of me I cannot see what I have done wrong. It used to work on my other laptop but the management issued us with new ones although the operating system is the same (XP)

Any help appreciated. :)

When it attempts to download files, it's normally an issue with the setup of IIS. Often it's in the area of ISAPI & CGI restrictions, from memory, but it has been some time since I setup a virtual directory on WinXP.

The following FAQ on the Jade Wiki covers setting up virtual directories in IIS7: https://wiki.jadeworld.com/Configuring% ... ith%20JADE

While this is more recent than the version of IIS included in WinXP, it may give you an idea of the possible areas to look at for this problem. Unfortunately I don't have a WinXP machine available to test where the problem may be.

Hope that helps,
BeeJay.
