Table Sorting Numerical Problem

Postby 安安安安安 » Fri Jul 16, 2010 10:03 am

I set up my column as Numerical sorting. but there are some rows doesnt have any value - blank entry...so when sort ascending, it always put blank rows at the start then integer numbers...

How can make those blank entry rows down to the end when sort ascending ?? is there any other way instead of making an invisible sort column?

Thanks

Unfortunately, if you want to utilise the table sorting on a column that has some rows with no value, then they are going to be considered equivalent to zero for a numerical sort and will appear intermingled at the start with any columns that have zero when using an ascending sort, or immediately after negative values if your table contains any negative values in that column. Your only option, if you want to use the table sorting, is to have an invisible column and use that instead for the sorting and put a very large number in for the "empty" rows.

Cheers,
BeeJay.
