IIS 7.5 setup and troubleshooting

Postby tpostier » Wed Apr 30, 2014 4:00 am

We are running Jade v6.3 on a Windows Server 2008 R2 box, and trying to set up a web server on the same network. The web server is also Windows Server 2008 R2 running IIS 7.5. I've tried every suggestion and setup instruction that I could find on this site as well as general internet results. I cannot get the IIS web server to work with the Jade, though we have another Windows server on the network running Apache (instead of IIS) which works fine.

The error I'm currently getting is 400.0, and nothing in the Jade log or status window indicating a connection is even made. Is there someone who is currently using the Windows/IIS setup described here that could possibly help? Thanks in advance!

Have you reviewed the steps documented in the following FAQ on the Jade Wiki?

https://wiki.jadeworld.com/Configuring% ... ith%20JADE

I've found the instructions on that Wiki page very helpful to get my IIS setup working correctly with Jade.

Hope that helps,
BeeJay.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, that was one of the first instructions that I followed. There are a couple more I found on the web, very similar, but none had a successful result. The strangest part is the Error 400, Bad Request. It is IIS generating the error because it never touches Jade. The only thing I can think of is permissions, but have tried several different users with varying permissions as well. All domain users, including my own which has administrative and high-level permissions on the network.

I'll keep fiddling with it and maybe someone might have a suggestion in the meantime.

In IIS turn on failed request logging and get more detail on what specifically is causing the bad request.
