creating services from the command line

Postby ghosttie » Sat Apr 27, 2013 9:22 am

We're writing a script to upgrade our customer's databases from JADE 6 to JADE 7.

ReleaseInfo.pdf recommends removing the DB and App Server services before upgrading and recreating them afterwards.

We can remove the services using "sc delete" but if we add them using "sc create" then I think they'll be missing additional registry entries that JADE expects.

Is there a way to create the DB and App Server services from the command line instead of checking the boxes in the UI?

Hi,

The 7.0.03 release notes are in error, in this instance. It is unnecessary to delete database and app server services during the migration from 6.3 to 7.0. This has mistakenly been left in the release notes for migrating from 6.2 to 6.3, when it was necessary, due to the addition of a registry entry which facilitated running services.
