I'm loving the new option to have Tabs for each of the open child windows in the IDE.

I'm also enjoying being able to float a CHB from the IDE and put it onto a 2nd monitor. That change alone may mean that I do away with running a 2nd full copy of an IDE on my 2nd monitor. :)

Cheers,
BeeJay.

That will be popular with some of our developers (when we move from Jade 6 to 7).
Are the tabs smart enough re-arrange themselves to avoid clutter and/or name truncation when you have a lot of windows open?
The worst case I can think of is where all the classes might start and end the same, so you may end up with a whole bunch of (e.g.) [Erewhon...Item] tabs.

I'm not sure, and I'm probably not the best person to ask as I generally have 1xCHB open against the ModelSchema and 1xCHB open against the ViewSchema most of the time. I also make extensive use of the History menu to swap backwards and forwards amongst the various classes/methods I'm working on.

As a test I just tried opening a whole swag of windows and on a wide screen monitor I finally reached the maximum number of entries when I opened my 8th CHB. It would appear that it doesn't shrink the tabs but rather once you've reached the limit of tabs that will fit across the width of the IDE you then have to use the "v" drop down button at the right hand end of the tab area to see the additional tabs that are open. So, the titles for the first 8 are easily distinguishable, even when they are long named classes/methods, and then the drop down button uses menu items that are fully readable. If you hover over one of the tab buttons the tool tip also shows you the full schema/class/method name as well, and you can still use the old style Window menu as well if you prefer.

Cheers,
BeeJay.

It's on the Browser tab of the preferences, as per the red rectangle in the following screen snap:

any chance of putting "Ctrl F" back in? Still don't know why it was removed?

I'm not sure what you're referring to here. I've just done a test and Ctrl+F still opens the Find/Replace dialog on our 7.0.06 environment(s)?
