Generating Partial Extracts from within Jade code

Does anyone have any experience with initiating partial extracts from within Jade code? I have tried using JadeSchema::JadePartialExtract (Jade 6.2) class but get a 1010 error (not from the first method I call but down the method stack) - there is no doco for this.

I would like to get this going in Jade 6.1 also, but in my testing the failure occurs earlier.

Any help, thoughts, ideas etc appreciated

You haven't indicated why you were wanting to programmatically perform these extracts.

When I've needed to do this previously I've taken the approach of writing out the required Class / Method extract details into a UNL file. Then run the JadeBatchExtract application, via Jadclient using createExternalProcess, to do the actual extract processing.

Alternatively, if you're utilising the patch versioning you can also use a similar process to extract using the desired patch number instead of having to create a UNL file.

Hope that helps,
Pat.

Thanks for the response Pat. I am happy with class level extracts, the issue is more around extracting schema data such as locale, Global constants, libraries etc. We are looking at our total release strategy including Java SQL etc - using Subversion branching etc and automating builds.
