How To Install Jade Thin Client on Windows Vista

Hi,
I have installed jade6.2 on linux Server( RHEL5 ),
And I have installed thin client on WindowsXP,
The Thin Client can connect to server properly.

But We can not install the thin client on WindowsVista.
We copy the bin and shortcut from WindowsXP to WindowsVista.
But Can not run thin client properly.

How to install/setup thin client on WindowsVista ?

Appreciate for any help.

Hi Didier,

Yes JADE 6.1.11.025+ and 6.2 run on the Windows Vista platform. Can you tell me please:

1. What version of JADE are you using?
2. Is an error logged to the thin clients JADE message log when the failure occurs?

Hi Jade Support:

Server OS : Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5 (Tikanga)
Jade : 6.2.14.003.

Client : Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit.

cannot run jade client installer--JADEwin32AnsiThinClient.exe
extract jadew32thinclient.tar.gz, copy the bin to Windows Vista.
after setup the shortcut, Can not launch the shortcut properly in windows vista.
for the jade not run, no jade log created.

As per the document ReleaseInfo.pdf.
After install The Microsoft Windows C++ 2005 Redistributeable Package(x86) called vcredist_x86.exe. The shortcut run OK.
