The Jade Report Writer seems to be quite powerful and flexible, and could fulfill some requirements for our clients. I'm having trouble sending parameters to methods, though. I can successfully create a Method Field and supply a literal parameter, but the two other ways to providie parameter completion don't seem to work for me:
(1) I haven't been able yet to find a way to get the "Report Param" checkbox to respond--it acts like it's disabled.
(2) I see that the "Database Field" checkbox is not available in 6.0.18, where I'm doing most of my testing.
I've worked through the tutorial in 6.0.19, but the erewhon demo doesn't provide any methods where I could try this feature. The system that I'm trying to use as a real-life test base is currently at 6.0.18.
Both of these features seem important for the effective use of the report writer. I hope that there's a solution or a workaround. Or that maybe I'm just doing something wrong.
