Hi.

We are implementing a new Jade site and were wondering about wether to use a 2 processor server or more RAM. We would be running Jade thin Client server on the same server as JadeRap. Does anyone have any experience or advice to offer?

I would recommend more CPU power. Japrap and the presentation server eat up CPU cycles.

Torrie

We have found that a server with a single 800Mhz and 600MB RAM adequate and scalable for most tasks - however the spec relies upon several key factors:

1. How many concurrent connections (cpu and memory) You could be running multiple presentation servers....
2. Transaction size (memory) The cache setting for JADE will need adjustment depending on the application.
3. Number of apps running on server i.e. Print Queues, Backup Apps etc. (cpu and memory)

Scott.
