Browser Crash/Freeze

Postby M45HY » Mon Nov 25, 2013 10:00 pm

Hi Guys,

I've come across a small problem on IE 10+ that when a customer tries to download a file from our site, you get the basic popup box that allows the option to Save, Open or Close the file, but once that popup has gone i.e. the customer has downloaded a .csv file, does what he/she had to do and then closed the file and decides to go back to the browser to do some work, the buttons on the page seem to have disabled; not allowing the customer to go back or even download another file. They have to close the browser and start a new session.

Is there anyone else who has come across the same problem and how were you able to overcome this?

Thanks,
Omash

Hi Guys,

Just have an advance on this problem. I've noticed that when I comment out coding that uses the readAsBinary method [e.g. readAsBinary(header, message)] the browser does not freeze - but obviously it doesn't allow the file to be downloaded or opened. I've looked around on the forum and saw that there may be something I need to do in order to get the method working properly. Any help?
