Jens,
I'm not sure why it wouldn't be working in Thin Client for you because I've been using this in one of my applications for rounded windows and a 2 part form for months now under thin client and it works perfectly for me.
BeeJay.

Hi BeeJay,
yes, it works fine under thin client now. Thanks to JADE support I know what the error was: I did not zero-pad the binaries. Now everything
works very fine!
Jens

Outlook Express is to blame. The default setting is to remove newsgroup headers from your local cache after x days (usually 5). This is exactly what you want on the real internet newsgroups - because the articles themselves are deleted after x days - and there are so many that you would fill your hard drive with subject headers after a few months (depending on how many large newsgroups you follow). For the Jade newsgroups the articles remain on the server forever and there will never be millions of them - so it is not appropriate to delete your local copy.
To see the articles again right-click the newsgroup and select Properties / Local File / Reset. The next time you read the newsgroup all articles will re-appear. To stop this happening again select Tools / Options / Maintenance. Now uncheck the option Delete news messages x days after being downloaded. You should probably check the option Delete read message bodies in newsgroups too - because they will be reloaded the next time you highlight the article. It's a shame that OE doesn't have separate options for these settings for each news server - because the options I've just suggested would be wrong for the general internet newsgroups.
Cheers, Simon.

You can actually change when outlook cleans up all the newsgroup headers. You can remove that feature completely.
Try Tools > Options

Sounds Interesting, I might try it! Thanks a lot for that.
When do you run this extract? In the load? Or in the paint? Or where?
