The problem with this newgroup + NEW SITE!

I hate using this newsgroup as the resource for any discussion we have about Jade. Have you ever noticed that when you try to do a search on here using the web newsgroup gateway and press enter on your keyboard you just get a popup. Maybe it just happens with firefox but im not going to switch browser. But its not just that. I think this news group is not very fun to use and when I personally went down to there hq and said why not have a forum like msdn they replied "Whats MSDN?", "Whats the difference between a forum and a newsgroup?". I have made a site at:

jadeprogramming.com

Its not much right now but I intend it to grow to be the primary developer resource with all kinds of stuff to do with jade. Feel free to contribute to code samples, tutorials etc..

We are investigating wiki-based alternatives to the current newsgroups and will be making improvements in this area. Our focus right now in on supporting a collaborative Knowledge Base, however a number of people have suggested improvements in terms of a discussion forum (much like the subject of your newsgroup post). Please be assured that we are well aware of MSDN, and the difference between NGs and forums. You are clearly very motivated by this so it would be good to discuss with you to make sure we're not duplicating our efforts in this area. If you'd like to get in touch, you can reply to me at dcooper at jadeworld dot com.

What is it that you believe that this newsgroup lacks, and what will
you be offering on your website to improve upon it?

By the way, if you don't like web browser access, you may prefer using
a dedicated Usenet news reader programme to access it via NNTP.

I just tried out the newsgroup access via the Jade website and I see
that there is a popup, but I have never seen it because it is blocked
by Firefox's standard popup blocker. Maybe you could check that out?

This shouldn't be very difficult to fix - the enter is being interpreted as a press of the login button instead of the search button - and the popup is an error message that you haven't entered your username/password. (If I remember the code correctly, about 5 minutes should do it!)

The Enter key is now interpreted as a click of the Search button.
