Tool Tip Text

Hi All,

I am extending a web application that i have done and i would like to add tool-tip text to the cursor when hovering over certain control objects. There doesn't seem to be a method within the control that sets tool tip text (as there is in Java), is there any way of achieving this. Please note that this is a web app, i am aware not all Jade functionality works online.

Hi,
The property Form.bubbleHelp is Jade's version of tool tip. Setting this property at design or runtime to a non-null value produces the pop-up tool tip effect in Jade Smart Thin Client. As far as I know, setting this property will also provide what you want on a Jade web app. Worth a try.

As Brendan pointed out, there is a bubbleHelp property on controls.
At work we have web apps and I am pretty sure that the bubble help
tool tips don't usually show in it (as they do in Thin Client).

Bear in mind that in Jade web-enabled applications the Jade form
is translated to HTML which imposes a lot of limitations so that
much functionality is lost. There is a white paper available on
Jade's website that details what is/isn't implemented for each
control type. I find this quite useful to refer to...

I checked a couple of forms in our main web app ... TextBoxes do
show their bubble help, but longer entries are truncated (6.1.11).

Thank you for your advice. I will use the bubbleHelp property - i knew there must be a way of doing it. I was initially using labels, which it appears does not take that functionality across to web apps, but the text boxes definitely does. Thanks for the link too, it is most helpful.
