Hi there,
Is anyone else having difficulty browsing these newsgroups through a normal news reader (rather than the web interface)? I use KNode and for the last few weeks it hangs at 10% when retrieving new headers.

Is anyone else having similar difficulties?

I use the Outlook Express Newsreader and don't have any problems currently. Some time back I had a similar issue with it never finishing the download for one particular message but that was with OE set to download all headers and messages and occurred during the downloading new messages stage not the checking new headers stage.

THE_DARK_LORD suggests possibly checking the cache of your news reader and clearing it out. Syncronisation issues between the cache and the news server have been known to cause similar issues in some other products he has used.

No problems, using PAN here. The only quirk I get is that postings do not get automatically marked as "read" when one has read them.
