Graphing Control

Does anybody have a reasonably robust and simple graphing control that we could use. We don't have time to reinvent the wheel, and would like to avoid having to use an ocx if possible.
I have had a look at two controls so far, but neither of them can handle a line graph where there is actual X data (and not just labels on the X axis). In other words, if I have X data of 2, 5, 7, 25, 100 I want to see it spaced proportionately across the axis and not just five equally spaced labels with the numbers displayed on them. Ideally you should be able to enter a max and min x , and get it to work out the labels.

The data we are using will always be dates on the X axis and numbers on the y axis, but if it could handle numbers along the x, it should be easy enough for us to display formatted dates instead.

Any suggestions ?

The next release of BaseSchema has custom controls for Bar, Line and Pie graphs. I can let you have a preview if you like ?

If these are the ones that Nelson showed me, they do not cope with a continuum of data on the x axis as I described. They have discrete x labels in an array, and these define the x data values. This does not handle data where you can't predict the x range, or the x range is Real numbers.

If you have controls that are different from Nelson's, I would like to have a look please.

Hey. I just need to produce fairly simple bar and line graphs, so I'd like to see these controls. Can you send them to me? My Email is dnk2@waikato.ac.nz.

I've tried to use microsoft chart control, but painter crashes every time I create a chart.... But some other ActiveX control might be what debby needs?
