The Global Class

As far as I know, there is a class called the global class. That can be reached by anyone and it is persistent, unlike the application class.

What is the actual point of this class? I have been thinking of putting option settings and things in there, but I don't think that would be a good idea, because if someone changes the welcome message or something...

My most recent program has been designed for multiuser. It has heaps of chatting and kicking options and things...
But I've been thinking...

Currently, each bit of code is executed by the person that comes up with the idea. eg. The host. If the host cancels a game that someone else is in, he will wait until everyone has been notified and has left the game. If someone kicks someone else, the person who gets kicked will have to sit there and cause all the notifications.

But... What if I made two programs? Client and Server? I'm sure a lot of you JADE Programmers do that a lot. To my understanding, the server will have a list of things to do, according to notifications and things. Would it be a good idea to store the to do list in the global class, the application class, or something else?
