Here's a tip for all those looking for a way to get from the editor pane of the class browser to the top panes using the keyboard - try Alt+L. The tab ordering from there isn't quite what you'd expect, but it's useable.

Personally I'd prefer to see a more "standard" key working for this but thanks for the tip on one way of achieving this. :)

Perhaps the F6 could have it's current translatable string option moved elsewhere and then the F6 could be used to swap between the top 3 panes and the editor pane.

Then tabbing in the top 3 panes would simply rotate around them and never go into the editor window and F6 would either swap into the editor window or back to whatever the last of the top 3 panes had the focus previously.

Why the F6 key? Well, it would then be familiar to people who've used other products that use this key and it coincides nicely with the Ctrl+F6 to swap around the child windows - which I guess is why other products used F6 to swap between "logical" sections of a single form.

Of course, when one of the listboxes has the focus, it would be nice if the Windows Menu key on an enhanced keyboard brought up the right mouse context popup menu as well.

Actually, I've wanted these for some time now so I just submitted two NFSes to JADE Support suggesting both of these options.

Fellow keyboard junkies let's hope that these will appear some day. :)

Yes, F6 is a good choice. It's what you use in Microsoft's flash new compiled html to get from the toc/index/find pane to the text pane.

How about a key combination of some sort to run the Jade application from the class browser? Anyone know one?

Yes, its always annoyed me that F9 can be used in a jadescript to run it but it cant be used to run an application.

And the F9 key only works to execute a JadeScript method if you've got a proper Class Browser open - if you happen to have the method open in a separate window, F9 doesn't work.

There are lots of these little inconsistencies throughout the product :-(
