I understand that this is used in the JADE Painter when you copy and paste a control. I further believe that when you are building forms using multiple copies of a custom control which includes several graphics (e.g. a non-standard button design with pictures loaded into the picture, disabled etc properties), you are better off to use the copy and paste method than to add the custom control multiple times. This applies primarily to applications that use the JADE Thin Client as this takes advantage of cloning to store only the graphical information once for each kind of cloned control. Minimises the Thin Client disk usage and reduces the volume of data transferred.
