Writing to clipboard ...

Hi
I want to put text from JADE into the body of a Word document and all my research seem to point to the fact that it is a "major interface" and therefore mega-expensive.

For my requirement a cheap solution would be to write out the text I want to the Windows clipboard, launch Word and the document and then allow the user to press Ctrl-V for the usual "insert from the clipboard" and then they could format it as required.

So, my question is how do you programmatically write out text from a specific JADE object into the clipboard as there ain't much in the on-line Help about writing to it ?

Thanxxx in anticipation .....

On the JADE web site there is a FAQ
" How do I use the Windows clipboard from within JADE?"

I wouldn't have thought it was "mega-expensive" Mr Silver, but it would require writing an OCX and knowing about OLE automation. In my opinion, it's worth the trouble just to learn all the ins and outs of OLE automation.

As for putting stuff on the clipboard, yep, as Geoff Davies mentioned, there's an FAQ on the JADE website. If you're interested, I've also done some work where I can place a picture on the clipboard too... which can be very useful. Give me a yell if you'd like more info.

Craig.
