How do you know to choose between ANSI and Unicode ? Also can you download the newest version for free ?

If you run the 'jverinfo.exe' located in your existing Jade's 'bin' folder, it will create a file called versioninfo.txt in your 'bin' folder. Open that file with say Notepad and it will tell you if you're currently running the ANSI or the Unicode version of Jade.

Your existing free developer licence key, that you used to install 7.0.04, should work fine with Jade 7.0.09 and as far as I'm aware your existing free developer licence key is fine for any development installation, you just can't use it for a 'production' system.

If you want to be able to run the 7.0.04 system as well as the 7.0.09 system, until you get the ok from your lecturer, then just make sure you install it into a different directory to where you installed Jade 7.0.04 and you can still run them both independently. You should also be able to run them both simultaneously as well. :)

Just make sure, as always, that you have a backup of your current work before you start the installation process!! ;)

Cheers,
BeeJay.
