6 to 5.2 compatibility

Hi,

New here, sorry couldn't find an faq list, so pardon me for asking an answered question.

I have just installed Jade 6. I have heard from my lecturer that i cannot run jade 6 schemas on jade 5.2.
What can I do to create 5.2 compatible schemas in Jade 6?

Cheers
Damon

Hi Damon,
From what I'm aware you can't. The export format of .scm and .ddb files will be different in 6.0 than it is in 5.2.

Why do you want to create 5.2 compatible schemas in Jade 6?

Regards,
Allistar.

Damon,

Unfortunately there is no way to load a schema extracted from the JADE 6 release into a prior release, such as JADE 5.2.

There is, however, a "restricted" version of 5.2 that your lecturer should be able to provide you with that allows you to work on your schemas both at home and at your higher learning centre. This restricted version does have some limits on number of classes, number of instances etc.

Thanks,
Brian Johnstone,
