This information is relevant to users running JADE 6.3.07, it does not affect earlier versions of JADE 6.3 nor any current 6.2 releases.

If the JADE database terminates unexpectedly as the result of a fatal crash, JADE database integrity may not be restored during restart recovery.

The restart recovery may encounter a fatal exception. Should restart recovery complete, subsequent processing may encounter exceptions, possibly fatal, indicating data corruption.

This issue is addressed by hot fix 6.3.07.006. We strongly recommend this be applied to all JADE databases after being upgraded to version 6.3.07. The fix is available via Parsys.

As this bulletin says "this information is relevant to users running JADE 6.3.07" does that imply that this bug doesn't exist in 6.3.05?

Does this also affect 6.3.06?

Given that this is also hotfixed in 6.2.20, does it affect 6.2.18 or 6.2.19?

Good afternoon,

Thanks for your questions.

The problem is only present in JADE 6.3.07, it does not affect earlier versions of JADE 6.3 nor any current 6.2 releases.

JADE 6.2.20 was patched to include the fix but because it hasn't been released yet the fix will be part of the base release and therefore not a concern to users of the 6.2 code stream.

Regards,
