Thin Client on Citrix

Does anyone have some advice on how to configure the thin client under Citrix (or in an read-only environment.)

We have the thin client installed on a Citrix server where the users do not have update rights on the installation directories. We've disabled the automatic update facility but wondered how others are managing the log files produced by the thin client etc. As the current log directory is read-only, the users receive a warning stating that no log output will be produced. Does anyone know how to suppress this?

Thanks

I don't know how to suppress the message, but we avoid it by giving the users write access to the /logs directory.

Hope that helps,
Pat.

Just to clarify, we use the following two settings to redirect the logfile location such that each user creates/updates the logs in a directory relative to their Citrix logon, to remove potential for conflict:

[JadeLog]
LogFile=jommsg.log
LogDirectory=???

Where the ??? is a path that is appropriate for your Citrix setup.

Hope that helps,
Pat.
