Guess, what?
While I was using JADE, a little problem came over my computer.
It crashed.
By the time I had got it working, I went into JADE and...
There was an error when I wanted to login to my normal name.
It said something about incorrect numbers and classes, but I can't remember the exact words.
The first thing I did was reinstall JADE.

But that didn't work.
Now I have lost all my programs!
Ahhhhhhh!

And worse still, the JADE Kids are meeting in the holidays! and I won't have anything to show, if I can't get my schemas back!
I still retain the old .dat files. But I'm not sure if I can get them back from them.
Is there a way anyone can help me?

It's a good policy in situations like this to do a quick Alt+PrintScreen (which copies the current dialog box to the Clipboard) and save it in Word or Wordpad document. Then you don't have to remember the words.

The first thing I did was reinstall JADE.

Hang on now - Jade isn't like most pc software. You should never even have to reboot to get around a Jade problem, much less reinstall!

I still retain the old .dat files. But I'm not sure if I can get them back from them.
Is there a way anyone can help me?

I once got a similar-sounding message when I had deleted one of my (user data) map files. Perhaps jdbutil.exe could help identify and/or fix the problem?

Otherwise, you could rename your system directory to system_bad or whatever (don't remove it yet - you may be be to salvage something from it) and making a new system directory from your backups.

Sorry, I have come to the conclusion that all the stuff have been overwritten when I reinstalled jade.
All user*.* files were overwritten, and I can't get them back.
