I keep getting unexplained crashes in my Jade application - an invalid page fault in jomos.dll resulting in this entry in bin\CrashLogs
(it states if this problem persists please contact your program
vendor!)

Grokking exception and thread state.... ============================================================================ Date: 28-Sep-1999 Time: 14:39:56

Process Name: JADE.EXE ( ** Process ID: 0xfffcceb3 ** ) ExceptionFlags: 0 ***************************************************getLogicalAddress caused an exception (0xc0000005) ***************************************************

Has anyone else experienced something similar, and can you shed any
light on it for me?

At the time the crash occurs I have a form loaded/loading displaying a bar graph - a derivative of the development course graph class, or printing the graph, or generating random numbers and redrawing the
graph. There seems to be no rhyme or reason or predictable pattern as
to when the crash will occurs, and sometimes no crashes occur for a period of time in the program when accessing and printing these
graphs.

Sometimes there is no CrashLog entry, just a double entry in the
in the application log and jommsg1.log :(
but there is always an invalid page fault in jomos.dll

Gloria,

Have you tried contacting JADE Support ? I do know that there are some enhancements in JADE 5.0.12 for the Application Server to better handle TCP errors.

regards,
darrell.

Yes they have been in contact with JADE Support and we are currently in an ongoing dialog to attempt to diagnose the cause of this problem - although as yet we have been unable to reproduce it ourselves.

They are currently already running the 5.0.12 release of JADE.

Thanks,
Brian Johnstone,
JADE Support.
