Just wondering if anyone knows when the Jade 2018 release will be available. Looking at the road map this was meant to be Q2 in 2018.
I haven't heard anything more about it. Really keen to get into the unit testing framework

I haven't heard anything about when this may be released either. Perhaps the Jade Support team will post a response regarding this.

Are you referring to the Jade Unit Testing framework, which is actually already in some current releases of Jade, or were you referring to the ATCG tool that is being released with Jade 2018 to
"enable developers and testers to automate testing of GUI interfaces"?
Cheers,
BeeJay.

It would be nice to hear from JADE Support on this ...
Something I'm keen to see is how the parameterised constructors will work.
Roadmap indicates the plan is to support multiple constructors, I do hope that meant we've ended up getting some support for method overloading in general as well.
Guessing we'll have some new syntax for creating objects, with the ability to use inheritMethod within constructors to select correct base constructor?
Any chance we could get a preview/beta version ahead of time?

JADE 2018 will be released in this year, the official release date will be made public shortly.

Thanks for the update, just wondering will it be backwards compatible, for example we take an extract from Jade 2018. Can we load this into a Jade 2016 and even Jade 7 system?

Just done a couple of quick tests and extracted a simple schema from JADE 2018 and was able to load the extracted schema into JADE 2016 SP1 and also into JADE 7.1.09.
I'd assume that if you're using JADE 2018 and implement any new features only available in JADE 2018 then this will fail to load into earlier release.
For a definitive answer you should contact JADE Support.
