dll monitoring directory changes

Hi guys
For several years we've been using a dll (C++ source) that monitors directory changes such as files being created within specified paths (sending a notification to jade upon detecting such a change).
It used to be available somewhere on this site, which makes me suspect that other developers may be using it.
I'm having problems with it after re-compiling for 64-bit, and wondered whether there is anyone who has implemented a similar (or any) solution to provide such functionality and may be able to help?
