Distribution of JSS schema sources

Postby Jade Support » Wed Dec 07, 2011 2:17 pm

Attention JADE developers,

If your application utilises JSS schema functionality please read on.

In the past a series of schemas known as JSS peer schemas were made available via the Jade web site and other mediums to developers. These were typically released as encrypted schemas so you could load and use, but not modify, the code.

On occasion the upgrade of a JADE database, or the conversion from ansi to unicode requires that user methods be recompiled. This isn't possible for source stripped methods.
To make these transitions easier for the JADE development community we're releasing the unencrypted schemas.

JSC will no longer provide support for the JSS schemas. They are provided on an as is basis. Due care has been taken in the creation and maintenance but we cannot guarantee the schemas are free from error.

If your application utilises one or more JSS schemas we recommend contacting Jade Support (jadesupport@jadeworld.com) with a list of the schemas you require. Jade Support staff will then provide you with the schema and any specific operational considerations that you need to know before using them.

Commonly used JSS schemas are listed below:

JSSApplicationMonitorSchema
JSSExtensionSchema
JSSExtensionTest
JSSInternetSchema
JSSMessageSchema
JSSXmlSchema

Important: It's possible the schema version you're using differs, or is older than the schema source being provide. We strongly recommend taking a backup before loading the supplied JSS schemas and afterwards perform the appropriate testing for your application.
