How to migrate Jade data from RHEL3 to Suse9

My One Customer will change the server OS from RHEL3 to Suse 9

How to migrate jade data from REHL3 to Suse9 ?

I believe you need to use the JadeConvertDb application as covered in Chapter 4 Converting a User Database of the RuntimeApps.pdf documentation. A snippet from the help on this feature is as follows, the first of the bullet points corresponds to your desired conversion:

This feature enables you to convert:

* A database from one operating system or hardware platform to another.

* The data between ANSI and Unicode formats instead of using the JADE Dump and Load utility ( jddlutl).

* ANSI databases containing multiple-byte characters to Unicode.

That's my recommendation. I'm unaware of any differences in the .bin/.dat files between RHAS3 and SLES9, but there may be some. The binaries are definitely different (RHAS3 is running a 2.4 kernel while SLES9 is running a 2.6 series kernel).

Keep in mind that when you upgrade this data to Jade version 6.2, you'll be forced to upgrade SLES9 to SLES10.
