RPS and Service

Afternoon,

I have and RPS Secondary that I am trying to run as a service. However every time I try and do a consistency check I get:

2007/10/15 13:31:24.807 01534-1668 rps: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified
2007/10/15 13:31:24.823 01534-1668 rps: State: IM002, native: 0 2007/10/15 13:31:24.839 01534-1668 rps: Column number = 106097456 2007/10/15 13:31:24.854 01534-1668 rps: Db open failed: 3263
2007/10/15 13:31:24.885 01534-1668 JomLog: Unhandled SystemException: RPS Failed to open target Relational DB, see JadeRpsDataPump.log for details

When I change this to run not as a service it runs fine.

I have the DSN created in the User DSN and I'm signed on as Administator. I have noticed the services use local system.

Can anyone help.

Cheers

Michael

Hi Michael,

You'll need to set up a system DSN. A user DSN is only visible to the specific user account it is configured for. In your case the service is running under a local system account.

Jade Support.

Have already done this and it didn't change anything.
