The question I would ask is "why should I have to?"
It just seems that Jade makes it needlessly difficult to do some things. Ever tried to get a meta file for a window (so it can be cut and pasted into word as a word drawing)? I basically had to rewrite all of the drawing commands that jade provides because it hides the fact that there is a device context.
End of rant (I promise).
