Errors like that are often caused by a mismatch of the binaries in your /bin folder.

I would start your investigations by running the Jade version info utility (jverinfo.exe) in your /bin directory. This will create a versioninfo.txt file listing the versions of the dlls/exes/etc in your bin folder.

You can then review the details in the versioninfo.txt file to see if there is any obvious mismatch in the binaries that could explain this behaviour.

Alternately, if you have a valid support contract, you could try asking the Jade Support team for some assistance in resolving this issue.

Cheers,
BeeJay.

Hi BeeJay,

I did as you said and ran the jverinfo.exe and in the versioninfo.txt file, it showed that the .dll file (that's shown in the error message) is version 6.3.12, which is the the version of upgrade that I installed. All of the other .dll files also have the same version. I was wondering whether I need to recompile any or all .dll files (as this is what the release notes said) or even reorg the DB but I'm not 100% sure on how I can do this?

I have also contacted our JADE support team but I was just wondering whether I could get a quicker response from here.

Thank you for your help matey :) ,
Omash

The dlls it refers to rebuilding are any of your own dll files that are built using the JADE header files to link into the relevant JADE api calls. If you don't have any of your own dlls that you build to support your application, then this step doesn't apply for your system.

Having said that, if you utilise the JADECare Start schema, aka CardSchema, then you will need to obtain the latest version of JADECare Start for your level of JADE. This will include the new version of karma.dll built against the relevant header files for that level of JADE.

The main download page for JADECare Start is: http://jade.co.nz/jadecare/download.htm

The latest version of JADECare Start for 6.3.12 is: http://jade.co.nz/jadecare/license3504.htm

If that doesn't correct the issue you're encountering, you'll probably need the assistance of the Jade Support team to help track the cause of the issue.

Cheers,
BeeJay.

Hi BeeJay,

Thank you. I'll try this out and let you know how it goes. I have contacted Jade Support but they haven't replied yet. Hopefully, they'll reply soon.

Thanks mate,

Hi Omash,

As discussed on the 12th of December, you need to ensure that you have updated the version of Cardschema and karma.dll in your system. When running JADE 6.3.12 you will need Cardschema / karma.dll to be at least at the minimum start version of 3.5.04.
Because karma.dll is not a standard JADE file and is associated with CardSchema, it will not be automatically updated as part of the upgrade.

The appropriate version can be downloaded from Jade's web site at:
http://www.jade.co.nz/jadecare/download.htm

This should rectify the issue.
Regards,
Lidia Aiad
