The reason for this is that JADE 6.2 has been compiled using the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Compiler. Because JADE 6.2 is compiled against Visual Studio 2005 on Windows, it requires the Microsoft C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86) called vcredist_x86.exe to be installed.
Good call - it's so long since we upgraded to 6.2 I'd almost forgotten about this requirement.

For what it's worth we took this approach and advised our clients to pre-install this on their servers and all presentation client machines prior to upgrading to the first 6.2 based release of our product.

Cheers,
BeeJay.

Hi Chris / Brian,

Thanks for the info regarding the vcredist_x86.exe, i had read up about this and downloaded it for our system but wasn't aware that some versions exist that do not contain all of the required dll's.

I have implemented the change in the load method as suggested and that seems to have got rid of the problem.

Thanks for all the help! Hopefully we can upgrade soon now...

Rich
