Cannot delete class <Dict_Class_Name> - is used as the type

Hi,

Does anyone know what "Cannot delete class <Dict_Class_Name> - is used as the type of a prior version of a property" means. A pointer to the Jade documentation would be great (I couldn't find any reference to it in the Jade documentation.).

It's a message in the jommsg.log file that I got after loading a schema (over an older version of the schema).

Any help much appreciated,

Just a stab in the dark, but "as the type of a prior version of a property" may mean that you are trying to remove a class that is the type of a property that you have removed but not yet done a database reorganisation for. Try removing all references of this class first (followed by a reorg) and then delete the class. You can use jadloadb to remove a class from the command line without needing to import a full schema extract.

Hi Allistar,

Thanks for the tip - I'll look into it. Yes - I was using the commandFile opiton of jadloadb to rename & delete classes - but this causes enough Jade exceptions that I'm avoiding using it (I've got a PAR open for this).
