Re: PDF Writer

Thanks Beejay

I had tried that option earlier but obviously missed something
Using fully qualified filename does the trick

Re: PDF Writer

Hi Beejay Your solution worked a treat and is significantly easier over virtually every other third-party PDF writer One question, I am trying to create the PDF output (via Jade printer output) but want to specify the default folder to be used (without having to use the default Windows printer dialo...

Re: PDF Writer

Thanks Beejay

I will start playing with this option straight away and hopefully this will solve my problems
I intended to use the print to file option as all our PDFs end up as attachments to emails anyway

Much appreciated

PDF Writer

Hi all

Can someone recommend an easy to integrate (and robust) PDF writer (using ActiveX or .net)
We have been using a product called novaPDF writer and while easy enough it has constant issues and latest version does not integrate well with Jade

office365 - Sending emails

Appreciate some guidance when trying to send emails to Office365 We use CardSchema (cnSMTPConnection) to send emails to local SMTP relay servers and all works fine When we attempt to connect to smtp.officer365.com, we get an "Authentication errror" This appears to be related to TLS not being applied...

Re: Reading large text files sequentially

Thanks for all the responses - but have finally found the problem and solution - along the lines of BeeJay solution The problem arose because we were importing UTF-8 files using readLine Jade explicitily state in documentation that readLine on UTF-8 files becomes very (very) slow with large files (a...

Re: Office 365 - Sending emails

We are in a similar position whereby our client switched their emails to Office365 and have hit the same hurdle (emails were working fine when using default SMTP server or relay) We use Jade 7.1.09 and latest Cardschema required for this version of Jade and same problem in that Office365 is not proc...

Re: Reading large text files sequentially

Further testing reveals that on our test system (Jade7.1.09 Unicode), reading 510,000 rows sequentially - with no other processing - takes less than 30 seconds. Same test process on customer site (with same file), takes over 90 mins

Hence, must be environmental conditions on customer site

Reading large text files sequentially

Out app currently imports very large text files every day (circa 70MB) and sometimes double that during special periods. These files range anywhere from 500,000 (daily) to 2,000,000 (periodically) rows I am finding the process time for these files takes a very long tim - initially I thought this rel...

Sending emails via Exchange Server

Hi All We use CnSMTPConnection to send emails either via local SMTP server or via local Exchange Server. The local SMTP server is no problem but we have endless issues with IT depts trying to set Exchange Server to send the emails from our application. Most times we can only send emails to internal ...
