JadeReport and overlaying pageImages

Hi, All our letters sent from our application are stored using the JadeReport and pageImage functionality. These are normally then printed onto letterhead and posted. If we email a letter, we print to a PDF printer, but I am wanting to first overlay a template that makes it look like its been printe...

JadeReport formatting

Hi, I'm having a few issues with the format of the data stored in a JadeReport. We are on Jade 7.0.05 Single User dev on a Win7 box. PrintDataType=GDI and PrintFileFormat=EMF Basically our process is: create jReport transient; app.printer.setReport(jReport); app.printer.printPreview := true; //print...

Re: JadeReport pageImage sizes

Thanks for the reply - sorry about the delay getting back again. Yes it is he size of the JadePrintPageBinary that is the problem, and yes we do store them compressed. Compressed they are nice and small, they compress down really well. The time to decompress isn't too bad, its calling app.printer.pr...

Re: JadeReport pageImage sizes

Hi, Thanks for the reply, I've had a bit of a play with dropping the size and resolution of the image. I've reduced it down to 183k, it's not as sharp when printed, but not too bad, will see if the powers that be notice a difference. But in any case I'm still not happy with the stored pageImage size...

JadeReport pageImage sizes

HI, We currently use the JadeReport class to store a persistent copy of any letters that we send from our app. They are stored as a Windows MetaFile rather than the SVG option as the quality is better, the text can be copied and pasted from the letter, and the text is searchable. Works great and hav...

Importing 32bit OCX in Jade 7

Hi, I'm having trouble importing a 32bit activex into a Jade 7 environment. The control registers OK, and the sample app runs no problem, but when you go to External Component Libraries and try import it, it doesn't show up - I think its only showing the 64bit controls registered on the machine. I h...

Re: SSL Authentication

Morning, Many thanks to you both for your help - the Authentication line in the header looks to be the trick I was looking for. I'm not getting the authentication error response now which is good, but the request still doesn't work. It's with their Support team - if they paste the XML I generate dir...

SSL Authentication

Hi, I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction in how to pass a username and password through with an SSL connection. It's for connection to VedaXML (online credit checks) if anyone has done that one before. They have given me a user name and password to use for the http authentication. ...
